Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SC Cleared Senior Data Analyst to join our team for a 9-week contract with a central government client. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing complex datasets, providing actionable insights, and supporting data-driven decision-making processes. You must already be SC Cleared and able to start immediately. Previous experience working for a central government organisation is required.

Purpose of the role:
  1. Develop, optimise, and maintain BI dashboards and reports to effectively communicate insights and support data-driven decision-making.
  2. Continuously enhance dashboard functionality and user experience by incorporating stakeholder feedback and adapting to evolving business needs.
  3. Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data in reports and dashboards, in compliance with data governance policies and data protection regulations.
  4. Collaborate with Data Analysts and key stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and improve data analysis capabilities.
Tool Development and Management:
  1. Utilise existing data models, warehouses, and ETL processes to extract and prepare relevant information for analysis and reporting.
  2. Develop, optimise, and maintain BI dashboards and reports to communicate insights and support decision-making.
  3. Enhance dashboard functionality and user experience based on stakeholder feedback.
  4. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security in line with governance and protection policies.
  5. Manage tool usage by monitoring demand and adjusting capacity plans accordingly.
  6. Collaborate with department teams to manage service capacity and prevent issues.

This role offers the opportunity to support a major government department undergoing a large digital transformation. The initial contract lasts 9 weeks, paying up to £475 per day (IR35 in scope). The role requires being on-site up to 3 days per week and can be based at any site across the country.
