Job summary

This is an exciting role to join a multi-award-winning department - Driving Change Through Data and Analytics, HSJ Digital Awards 2024.

The role involves the production of detailed analytics reports from various Trust data sources across the full spectrum of Trust services.

The post holder will have excellent data analysis skills and the ability to present complex data to support the Trust's objectives and the needs of the population we serve.

The post holder will analyze data from a range of Trust systems and present an integrated view of information to support contract monitoring, performance management, and the implementation of key policy agendas.

This is a London office-based role involving significant face-to-face interaction and collaboration with colleagues.

The post holder will be supported by a strategic training plan based on NHS England's National Competency Framework.

Main duties of the job
  1. The ability to analyze and interpret complex data and information from various sources and formats into consistent, accurate, relevant information suitable for diverse audiences.
  2. To provide analytics for the Trust's key stakeholders, including frontline staff, corporate functions, and central bodies.
  3. To understand and support the Trust's quality improvement programme.

Person Specification

Education/Qualification/Training (Essential):

  • Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience

Desirable:

  • Masters degree in a relevant discipline

Experience (Essential):

  • Experience handling, analyzing, and manipulating large, complex datasets
  • Experience with highly specialized application software and programming languages

Desirable:

  • Experience working with NHS datasets and knowledge of NHS data dictionary definitions

Knowledge and Skills (Essential):

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to simplify complex issues
  • Ability to act on own initiative and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent programming skills in SQL or equivalent

Desirable:

  • Understanding of Mental and Community Health provider organizations
