Job summary

Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Band 6 Senior CYPMH Practitioner for CYPMH Lancaster and Morecambe. The post sits in a busy, multi‑disciplinary service providing treatments for 0–18 years, including CBT, EMDR, DBT and family therapy, with close collaboration across agencies.

You will lead high‑quality assessments, offer brief interventions, supervise junior staff and students, and contribute to duty rotas.

Qualifications

• First level qualification, RMN or equivalent such as CQSW or occupational therapy.
• Information technology skills sufficient to the undertaking of the post.
• UK professional registration.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality CYPMH services.
• Undertake needs-led, evidence-based assessments and brief interventions for children and young people.
• Screen referrals and signpost to ensure timely access to right services.
• Liaise with partner agencies to develop integrated care packages for the child across agencies.
• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to less experienced staff and students.
• Offer timely advice/guidance to families and professionals via duty rota.
