Overview

Are you an experienced Cyber Underwriter or Broker ready to take the next step in your career? Do you want to play a pivotal role in shaping the future success of our Cyber business at the heart of the London Market? If so, we would love to hear from you! Joining our Commercial Insurance business in London, you'll be a key member of our Cyber Underwriting team, driving profitable portfolio growth by delivering a market-leading level of service and underwriting expertise to our brokers and customers. As a Senior Cyber Underwriter, you'll have significant responsibility for underwriting complex Cyber business, ensuring alignment with our strategies, guidelines, authorities and pricing frameworks. You'll also make a direct impact on the achievement of our Cyber business's strategic and operational objectives. Responsibilities
  • Leading the delivery and execution of the Cyber underwriting plan, with a focus on London Market business.
  • Building, developing and maintaining strong relationships with key London Market brokers, key customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Exercising significant underwriting authority and making informed decisions on complex and high-value accounts.
  • Collaborating closely with the Head of Cyber to shape and deliver our underwriting strategy.
  • Providing technical leadership and sharing specialist knowledge with the team, helping to upskill and mentor less experienced colleagues.
  • Promptly handling complex enquiries from brokers, customers and colleagues, ensuring positive and timely outcomes.
  • Ensuring accurate records and timely production of high-quality documentation in line with regulatory and company guidelines.
  • Supporting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Cyber Underwriter or Broker in the London Market, with strong market contacts and a track record of delivering profitable growth.
  • Deep understanding of Cyber exposures, controls, coverages and emerging trends.
  • Excellent relationship-building, negotiation and influencing skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership qualities and a collaborative, proactive approach.
  • Effective communication skills—numerical, verbal and written—with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and confidently.
  • A commitment to continuous learning, knowledge sharing and driving best practice across the team.
