Proactive Appointments Limited is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer SME to own the operation and lifecycle of enterprise security tooling. You will work with teams in London and abroad to strengthen controls and improve security capabilities across on‑prem and hybrid environments.

The role requires hands‑on expertise across Windows Server, Linux, networking and security tooling, with a focus on BAU operations and strategic tool evolution.

Competenze

• 8+ years’ experience in cyber security or information security with hands‑on tooling support.
• Experience managing multiple security platforms in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of Windows Server, Linux, networking and operating systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot integrated environments including AD, DNS and policies.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS and security governance concepts.

Mansioni

• Manage day‑to‑day operation and lifecycle management of enterprise cyber security platforms.
• Support red team tools, digital forensics, EDR platforms and threat monitoring.
• Deploy, patch, upgrade and maintain security tools with reliable performance.
• Investigate platform issues and identify root causes with minimal external help.
• Understand security tool interactions with AD, DNS, GPO and networked assets.
• Configure security controls including firewalls, MFA and email protection.
• Assist log analysis, threat monitoring and incident investigations.
• Evaluate and integrate new cyber security technologies as needed.
• Support audits, vulnerability management and patching processes.
• Identify improvements to tooling performance and automation opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and document technical handovers.
