Salary:
Circa £60,000 dependent on experience
What you'll be doing:
- Conduct cyber security risk assessments of systems and services.
- Support the definition and design of secure solutions that meet business needs.
- Assess architectural designs and identify proportionate cyber security controls aligned with business objectives.
- Evaluate systems, services, and cyber security controls to ensure compliance with BAE Systems Security Policy, standards, and external regulatory requirements.
- Lead assessments of cyber security controls to determine their effectiveness in reducing risk, including vulnerability analysis.
- Create and compile documentation to determine the compliance level of systems and services with applicable certification, accreditation, and internal policies.
- Manage the delivery of penetration tests and vulnerability analyses to support risk mitigation strategies.
- Support stakeholders in resolving cyber security issues and act as a subject matter expert for assurance activities within the organization.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Good knowledge of industry-standard security policies, standards, and good practice guidance, and their application to IT solutions processing protectively marked information.
- In-depth knowledge of threats, risks, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.
- Knowledge of information security standards such as HMG, ISO 27001/18, NIST 800, etc.
- Wide-ranging knowledge of application, infrastructure, and security technologies, with in-depth understanding of secure configuration in on-premise, hybrid, and cloud environments.
- Experience working in a project environment with risk management and application of risk management methodologies.
Desirable:
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CCSK, or CCP.

The Cyber Security Assurance team:
The team, part of Enterprise IT, is responsible for assuring all enterprise-managed systems and services, ensuring they align with cyber security standards.
