Job summary

Oscar Technology's client in Surrey is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to own network and device security across internal and customer environments. You will monitor security events, manage incidents and lead vulnerability management efforts.

Responsibilities include designing and testing security solutions (SIEM/IDS/IPS), maintaining policies and documentation, and providing third-line support and knowledge sharing to internal teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of multi-network security experience with hands-on design and management.
• Experience with Cisco and Juniper devices in security contexts.
• Experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS and vulnerability management.
• Knowledge of information security best practices and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement information security policies, controls and solutions.
• Monitor security events, risks and vulnerabilities and investigate incidents.
• Design, build, test and troubleshoot security solutions including SIEM and IDS/IPS.
• Manage vulnerability testing and recommend improvements.
• Provide cybersecurity expertise across network design and management.
• Maintain security policies, procedures and technical documentation.
• Act as a senior point of contact for security issues and provide third-line support.
• Support and develop internal teams through knowledge sharing and training.
