Job summary

Methods is a UK-based consultant focused on cyber security and information services for central government and other public sector clients. The Cyber Security Consultant will lead risk and security engagements, act as SME across teams, and communicate complex security guidance to senior client stakeholders while guiding architecture decisions.

The role requires experience in security architecture, threat modelling, and cloud security with AWS/Azure, plus SC clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Experience in cyber security consulting with client interaction.
• Minimum 3–5 years in information security roles and 2–3 years in security architecture.
• Certifications in AWS or Azure for Architecture and Security or similar.
• IASME / Cyber Essentials Plus Certified.
• Knowledge of secure network architecture and design.
• Ability to present risk and security guidance to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead cyber security and risk engagements with documentation, reports and recommendations.
• Act as SME to support a team and lead engagements at scale.
• Research and pitch complex security architecture to business and technical audiences.
• Develop security vision and strategy for projects or technologies.
• Provide trusted, pragmatic security advice aligned with client objectives.
• Escalate and guide architects in lower grade roles.
