Senior Cyber Security Analyst
Location: Cheltenham, UK
Salary: £44,044 (including £2,658 non-concessionary payment)
Flexible working options include full-time, part-time, and compressed hours. Hybrid working may be available, with around 40% home working depending on business needs.

As a Senior Cyber Security Analyst, you will be crucial in defending against various cyber threats such as malware, insider threats, DDoS attacks, and phishing. Your responsibilities include investigating alerts, analyzing logs and network traffic, monitoring security systems, developing detection content, using threat intelligence, and responding to breaches. Daily team meetings will review ongoing investigations and plan activities.
You will lead efforts to improve operational efficiency, mentor junior analysts, and provide expert guidance. Opportunities include digital forensics and supporting security incidents, staying updated with the latest cybersecurity tools and techniques, and reviewing past alerts to prioritize incidents based on severity.
You should have a background in cyber security analysis and a passion for IT, with experience in host intrusion detection being advantageous. A solid understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems is required. You need at least 6 months of experience as a Cyber Security or SOC Analyst. Strong communication and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, are essential.

Travel opportunities for conferences and staying current with cybersecurity innovations are available but not mandatory.
Starting salary: £44,044 plus benefits including 25-30 days annual leave, public holidays, employee recognition schemes, interest-free season ticket loan, pension scheme, cycle-to-work scheme, on-site facilities, and paid parental leave.
