Role Overview
As a Senior Cyber Security Analyst based in Cheltenham, you will be instrumental in defending GCHQ against cyber threats, utilizing tools like Splunk to analyze logs and network traffic, investigating alerts, and leading efforts in process improvement and mentoring junior analysts. The role involves working on diverse cybersecurity challenges, supporting incident responses, and staying updated with the latest security techniques.
About You
You should have a background in cyber security analysis with at least 6 months' experience as a SOC analyst, knowledge of Windows and Linux OS, and strong communication skills. Experience with intrusion detection and incident response is preferred but training will be provided.
