How does this role contribute to our collective success?

This role offers the opportunity to join a leading cyber insurer in a senior claims handling capacity. The successful applicant will handle complex cyber and tech E&O claims, often in a lead capacity, and provide mentorship to junior team members. Additionally, the role involves working closely with the Head of Cyber Claims International to report on cyber claims themes and developments affecting AXIS and the broader cyber insurance market.

What will you do in this role?

  • Handle cyber claims for a broad range of clients worldwide, reporting to the Head of Cyber Claims International.
  • Collaborate with clients, TPA service providers, legal advisors, vendors, market leaders, and brokers to ensure high-quality claims service.
  • Manage or broker cyber claims, with an understanding of cyber coverages, reserving, risk management, and vendor roles.
  • Handle claims involving Lloyd’s syndicates and companies.
  • Mentor and oversee complex cases with junior colleagues.
  • Coordinate with underwriters on policy issues, vendor panels, and client meetings.
  • Monitor legal and market developments, reporting on their impact.
  • Provide claims intelligence to the Cyber Risk Advisory team and assist with related projects.

Additional duties may be assigned as appropriate.

About You:

What you need to have:

  • Understanding of the London Market in relevant classes of business.
  • Specific technical cyber experience.
  • Knowledge of claims handling practices, procedures, and techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

What we prefer you to have:

  • Experience in a lead capacity within a syndicate or company, or as a claims advocate/negotiator at a broker.
  • Knowledge of CLASS/ECF2 is preferable.
  • Legal or professional qualifications are an advantage but not essential.
  • Experience in TPA management and oversight.

Role Factors:

  • Office presence 3 days per week or as directed by management.
  • Occasional business travel.
