Are you a seasoned Cyber Security Assurance Specialist or do you come from a systems/project security background, eager to step into a senior cyber assurance role?

Exciting news just landed on my desk! I’m currently seeking a talented individual for the position of Senior Cyber Security Assurance Specialist, based in Preston (with other centers available). In this role, you’ll lead assurance services, ensure compliance with cyber security standards, and drive continuous improvement within my defense client’s cyber assurance function. Join their dynamic EIT Cyber Assurance team, where hybrid working arrangements allow for just one or two days in the office per month (although the office is open all week if needed). Given our client’s presence in the defense sector, a military background would be a perfect fit with an SC clearance or the ability to achieve. Required Skills and Experiences:

• Educated to degree level in ICT/Computing, Information assurance, or related discipline.
• Knowledge of information security standards such as HMG, NCSC Guidance, ISO 27001/18, NIST 800.
• Exceptional written communication skills and experience in presenting to senior business peers.
• In-depth knowledge of industry-standard security policies and standards.
• Desirable: Knowledge of NIST 800–53 & NIST 800-171.

About the EIT Cyber Assurance Team:

The Cyber Assurance Team within Shared Services is part of Enterprise IT (EIT), responsible for assuring all enterprise managed systems and services. We ensure systems are built and configured in line with cyber security standards, conduct through-life assurance of controls, and mitigate threats and risks.
