Job summary

QBE in London seeks a Senior Cyber Architect to strengthen our Cyber Security Strategy & Architecture team, focusing on emerging technologies including AI. You will ensure architectural guidance aligns with global security standards in a federated operating model and supports rapid business demand.

The role covers security operations, threat management, and security architecture across cloud, data, and identity domains, with governance and design support to engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in cybersecurity architecture or senior security engineering roles.
• Strong experience in security operations or threat management environments.
• Proven experience with security testing outcomes (red team, purple team, penetration testing).
• Experience operating in global, federated environments across multiple time zones.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural guidance to security operations and threat management teams.
• Analyse findings from security assurance activities and design systemic fixes.
• Contribute to enterprise security architecture across application, cloud, data, and IAM domains.
• Participate in design reviews, threat modelling and provide pragmatic architectural guidance.
