A local council in Gainsborough is seeking a Senior Customer Service Advisor to support a busy Public Services Hub. This role requires strong customer care skills, knowledge of council services, and the capability to manage challenging situations. Candidates must have experience in service delivery with a security element, along with good IT skills. The position offers a permanent full-time contract with a salary range of £27,254 to £30,024 per annum.

We have a busy Public Services Hub and Contact Centre, so, understanding the needs of our customers quickly, you will help residents receive the service that is right for them. This role means you have developed customer care skills and extensive high-level knowledge of all council services and in-depth knowledge of specific council services such as Waste Services, Planning, Trinity Arts and Home Choices to name a few.
As a Senior Customer Service Advisor, you will support Customer Service Advisors to learn and develop their skills passing on your knowledge and expertise, whilst providing outstanding Customer Service and responding to difficult, demanding and upsetting situations that can escalate quickly. As your role will focus heavily on Security, you will possess skills that allow you to be resilient and show emotional intelligence to manage expectations looking after yourself and others.
The environment we work in can be challenging and you must be able to demonstrate previous experience of providing a service to customers, including a security element, good IT skills to input, retrieve and amend data and the ability to listen and identify how you can assist customers accurately and efficiently.
