Job summary

Safran is seeking a Customer Quality Assurance Lead in Pitstone, Buckinghamshire to ensure engineering design and production meet customer, safety and regulatory (EASA, CAA) standards. The role bridges 21G production and customer requirements, driving risk mitigation, audit readiness and continuous improvement in airworthiness.

You will lead program teams and shape QA strategy across multiple customer product lines.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in aerospace quality roles (engineering, design & development, or quality).
• Proficiency with 8D, RCCA, FRACAs and Six Sigma DMAIC.
• APQP tools knowledge: PPAP, FMEA, MSA.
• Knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 QMS standards.
• Understanding of EASA/CAA Part 21J/21G/Part 145.
• Internal and external audit experience; lead auditor preferred.
• Experience leading engineering teams in a technical production environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop KPIs with stakeholders and customers to drive improvement.
• Represent customer interests on site during programs and production.
• Champion customer satisfaction via defect prevention and RCA using APQP tools.
• Coach reporting engineers; identify training needs and system weaknesses.
• Interact with customers and regulators (EASA/CAA) on quality matters.
• Support Part 21G production quality performance; deploy RCA methodologies.
• Set QA strategy with production leaders across product lines.
• Oversee customer complaints and ensure timely progression.
