Job Description:

The main purpose of the role will be to deliver the aims of the Collection Development Strategy at the National Wool Museum and support the delivery of the strategic vision for the site.

You will work collaboratively with communities as co-curators, collectors, and decision makers to develop the collection, especially focusing on the woollen industry in Wales. Key priorities include researching and collecting the history and material culture of traditional woollen skills, contemporary crafts, and sustainable wool stories, as well as supporting decolonisation efforts in the collection.

The role aims to increase the visibility and access to the national woven textile collection, ensuring it is fully catalogued and digitised to support designers, makers, and other users.

Please note that this role offers limited hybrid working options.
