Job summary

Kraken is hiring Senior Compliance Associates to conduct day-to-day surveillance across our markets. You will investigate escalated behaviour, gather data, and prepare written cases for senior compliance stakeholders, supporting the expansion of our surveillance program.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in trade surveillance or market abuse investigation within a regulated firm.
• Familiarity with core market abuse typologies (spoofing, layering, wash trading, insider dealing, front running, ramping).
• Experience reviewing and dispositioning surveillance alerts with auditable writeups.
• Clear, evidence-first written communication suitable for auditors/regulators.
• Comfort using generative AI and automation tools to speed up investigations while maintaining oversight.
• UK/IRL/Cyprus/Malta/Romania/Canada base with fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Review and disposition surveillance alerts for regulated markets with clear rationale.
• Perform analytical reviews starting from trade/order data, not just system alerts.
• Investigate escalated cases end-to-end: gather data, reconstruct events, document for senior stakeholders.
• Assess referrals from across the business and act on those warranting escalation.
• Draft SARs and order reports for regulatory reporting.
• Produce management information and regulatory reports for covered entities.
• Contribute to surveillance tooling and integrate new data sources; test detection.
• Leverage AI/tools to speed up evidence gathering with human oversight.
