A public healthcare provider in London seeks a Senior Mental Health Nurse to lead the Psychiatry Liaison Team. The role includes clinical direction, development of care programs, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. Candidates should have extensive experience in mental health crisis management and effective leadership skills.
The post holder will be a senior member of staff working in a leadership role providing supporting advice to staff working within the Psychiatry Liaison Team and Crisis Assessment Team.
Maintain clinical direction and leadership, coordinating a team of clinical staff for the continuous and consistent provision of high-quality mental health care to people with mental health crisis in Psychiatry Liaison and the Crisis Pathway. Carry continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of care programs. Demonstrate within the team, clinical leadership and knowledge of a range of therapeutic interventions available to reduce distress for individuals experiencing an acute mental health crisis. Lead the team in a way that supports the development of a culture of continuous improvement and learning. Ensure the voice of service users and carers are captured and listened to. Ensuring there is a framework for the ongoing clinical supervision and caseload management within the team, and for monitoring standards of clinical practice. Facilitate regular time and space for team reflection.
