Job description

Based in London, this role at Manager (Global Grade 8) level will have dual primary responsibilities supporting the development and roll-out of Credit Product initiatives to RBC Brewin Dolphin clients alongside acting as a trusted, in-house, Subject-Matter-Expert for internal and external queries relating to the Wealth Management Europe (“WME”) Credit proposition.

Working alongside the Associate Director, Credit Products, this role will play a vital part in aiding the Credit Products teams’ engagement, support, coaching and guidance of various stakeholders on the delivery of Credit Products.

A significant amount of time will be dedicated to stakeholder relationship management, including being present at key internal/external meetings and events. Alongside this, the role holder will be tasked with providing recommendations for strategic enhancements to the rollout leveraging their experiences and knowledge gleaned from key stakeholder meetings they have held.

The role includes travel across the UK to attend to the RBC Brewin Dolphin office network.

What will you do?

  • Work closely with Credit Product teams, among others, to gain a full understanding of our product proposition and escalate potential areas for improvement.

  • Collaborate with wider Wealth Management products and sales teams, alongside leveraging existing experience, to build a full understanding of the wider product offering to appreciate how credit complements a holistic Wealth Management offering.

  • Collaborate effectively with WME partners to respond to queries, deliver training, support with upskilling, and identify opportunities for improvements to product or process.

  • Build long-term, trusted relationships with WME partners at a variety of seniority levels.

  • Support the Associate Director, Credit Products, and the wider team in working with Wealth Management Europe’s Client Facing Personnel, among others, to execute on RBC’s Thrive 2030 vision of leading to, not with, products to broaden and deepen client needs met as part of an advice led proposition.

  • Regularly report to the Associate Director, Credit Products on trends being identified during discussions with Client Facing Personnel, look to present possible solutions for consideration and deliver on enhancements where identified.

  • Examine loan applications and related documents from customers; perform common loan processing and loan closing tasks.

  • Gather credit and other necessary data to support the decision to underwrite a loan.

  • Verify the accuracy of procedures and documents prior to final approval, and comply with underwriting guidelines.

  • Follow up on tracking loan systems and backups with daily/monthly reports.

Must have

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and be comfortable with change.

  • A good team player with strong interpersonal & presentation skills.

  • An ability to leverage existing knowledge, or learn quickly about the UK's Banking products and services including Current Accounts, Savings, Credit and other ancillary Banking Services.

  • A strong desire to help others achieve their objectives with a focus on doing the right thing.

  • Confident with an ability to collaborate with and manage a wide group of stakeholders across the RBC Group.

  • Keen interest in the UK Banking and Wealth Management landscape and applying this understanding when responding to queries, delivering training and assisting stakeholders.

Nice to have

  • Have or be willing to obtain CeMAP qualification.

  • A passion about clients and customer insight and have a willingness and desire to implement client and advisor feedback to enhance our Credit offering.

  • A willingness to work in multi-disciplinary teams, you are inherently collaborative and embrace different perspectives.
