Job summary

Searchandselect is seeking an experienced Credit Manager to join the Risk team. The role focuses on robust credit risk assessment, affordability analysis and prudent lending decisions within regulatory guidelines.

You will work with business stakeholders to identify growth opportunities while maintaining a high-quality credit portfolio and ensuring risk appetite alignment across lending facilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Commerce, Finance or related discipline.
• Approximately 10 years' experience in credit risk management within banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of corporate credit risk, lending products and credit documentation.
• Comprehensive knowledge of credit policies, risk frameworks, Basel requirements and regulatory standards.
• Experience engaging with senior client stakeholders, including MDs, Finance Directors and Financial Managers.

Responsibilities

• Articulate credit appetite based on risk appetite for sector and guidance on deals and collateral.
• Assess valuation assumptions, cash flows, loan-to-value and debt service metrics.
• Design or challenge security packages, guarantees, mortgages or other collateral arrangements.
• Oversee covenants, information undertakings, cure rights and drawdown controls.
• Undertake annual risk reviews on the existing portfolio base and make prudent recommendations.
