About Our Client

This organisation operates a generation portfolio of sustainable energy portfolios who are making huge strides in the renewable energy market.This role sit under the Trading and Commodities Risk Manager .They are based in Yorkshire and Humber area , so are seeking a Senior Credit Risk Manager candidate who can commute to York a minimum of 2 days a week.

Job Description

The Senior Credit Risk Manager will have responsibility for:

• The design and implementation of the firms Commercial credit and contractual risk policy;
• Providing independent credit and contractual risk advice and challenge to the Commercial business,
• both formally through the Risk Committee and through regular informal discussion;
• Identifying, assessing and determining any potential contractual risks associated with any contracts;
• Management of key credit functions and collateral utilisation;
• Key liaison with external credit risk system provider.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Credit Risk Manager should have:

• Proven expertise in credit risk management within a professional environment.
• A strong understanding of credit risk management
• Governance and Controls experience
• Experience in banking or financial services regulated firms
• Trading credit risk experience is useful .
• Comprehensive knowledge of the energy & natural resources industry- ideally
