Job summary

Barclay Simpson is recruiting a Senior Manager to lead its advanced credit risk analytics capability within the second-line risk function in London. You will oversee a team of five analysts, set direction, prioritise analytics work and act as the principal analytics partner to senior Risk and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience leading analytics teams in banking or financial services.
• Strong track record with Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
• Practical Python experience to automate data preparation or reporting.
• Hands-on leader able to contribute to technical delivery while coaching others.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of five data analysts.
• Define direction and priorities for the credit risk analytics capability.
• Own intake, assessment and prioritisation of analytics requirements.
• Partner with senior Risk and business stakeholders.
• Translate requirements into clearly scoped analytics solutions.
• Develop scalable Power BI dashboards and management reporting.
• Automate data preparation, analysis and recurring reporting with Python.
• Identify opportunities to replace manual processes and improve efficiency.
• Ensure outputs are clear, relevant and commercially useful.
• Manage competing priorities and stakeholder relationships.
• Support development of wider risk analytics and reporting framework.
• Ensure outputs comply with risk and regulatory expectations.
