Leeds Building Society is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join the Prudential & Enterprise Risk team in Leeds. You will own validation reviews across models, assess data and governance, and present evidence-based conclusions to stakeholders.

You’ll collaborate with model owners and developers, support action closure, and help enhance validation methods, tooling and automation across IRB, IFRS 9, capital and liquidity areas. Hybrid working available.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in model validation or development within financial services.
• Knowledge of statistical techniques for model assessment.
• Experience with model classes like IRB, IFRS 9, scorecards, or pricing.
• Programming and data handling using Python/SQL/SAS/R.
• Understanding of model risk, lifecycle, and governance.
• Ability to plan reviews with limited supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Collaborative and detail‑oriented mindset.

• Own defined validation reviews from scoping to closure.
• Apply independent testing and challenger analysis to assess models.
• Form clear evidence-based conclusions on fitness for purpose.
• Build trusted relationships with model owners and developers.
• Draft and present findings; support action closure.
• Help improve validation methods, tools, data and automation across areas such as IRB, IFRS 9, capital, liquidity, market risk, pricing, forecasting and stress testing.
