Job summary

Tagged Resources Ltd in Cardiff is seeking a Senior Creative Designer to craft innovative, commercially driven designs across product categories. You will partner with Design Managers to meet deadlines with creativity, owning smaller projects and coordinating timelines with stakeholders.

You will lead from initial concept through repro, develop 3D visuals, and ensure designs are print-ready. A strong Mac DTP skillset and 6+ years' experience are essential to deliver high-quality ranges.

Job description

The Company:

The Senior Creative Designer will be highly creative and passionate member of the team. Required to create innovative and commercial designs at a high level for all product categories. You will be required to work closely with the Senior / Design Manager to help hit deadlines with flexibility & creativity, in order to create customer ranges of the highest quality that meet commercial objectives. In addition to your design responsibilities, you will be expected to take ownership of and deliver smaller creative projects, managing timelines, priorities, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure successful outcomes that meet both creative and commercial objectives.

The role

• Be fully conversant with relevant Apple Mac DTP packages, in particular Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign.
• Working to a brief issued by the Design Managers, create new design or manipulate existing artwork to fully explore all design formats across all DG UK product categories.
• To be able to take designs through from initial development to final repro for all product categories.
• To be able to execute 3D visuals for all products areas for in-house and customer presentations.
• To gain an accurate understanding of the correct digital file set up for mock ups and to be able to communicate with samples team and supporting with mock ups when required.
• Work closely with the Design Managers and develop ranges to suit individual account needs.
• Be proactive in design and formatting and exhibit trend awareness.
• Be aware of customer activity.
• Meet given deadlines not allowing product quality to suffer.
• Work closely with colleagues from repro through to production to ensure accurate product manufacturing
• Actively contribute to New Product Development ideas
• Communicate with the UK manufacturing factory when required to ensure designs are technically suitable for printing. For example, attend PCC meetings and Range Review meetings.
• Work with a Senior/ Design Manager to carry out trend research and direction and confidently communicate to the design team.
• Work closely with the Lead License Design Manager to fully understand license design process and requirement.
• Attend and contribute to DGUK product forum meetings across departments.
• Attend customer meetings to assist and support Design Managers and Senior Design Managers.
• Manage small scale design projects, which can include creative research/range planning, briefing designers, tracking projects, attending and providing updates in project team meetings and project sign offs.
• Excellent file set up, product and process knowledge to be able to train Junior/Creative Designers.
• Be aware of the Company’s Quality Policy.
