Job Summary

Join the UK office as a Senior Coverage Banker within the Infrastructure client sector team. Lead sector coverage for Europe, focusing on origination, structuring, and execution of financing solutions across infrastructure sectors such as Water, Waste, Transport, and Energy. Play a strategic role in shaping infrastructure strategy, risk frameworks, and expanding international partnerships.

This role requires a minimum of 10 years’ experience in infrastructure finance, project finance, and structured lending, with strong knowledge of ECA finance, credit risk, and infrastructure investment. Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and stakeholder management skills are essential. Bilingual in English and French is highly preferable. Right to work in the UK is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Coverage & Relationship Management

• Manage and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring high service levels and strategic engagement.
• Originate new client relationships across infrastructure sectors and geographies.
• Lead credit risk reviews, ensuring accurate assessments and group relationship articulation.
• Oversee pricing and deal structuring to ensure commercial viability.
• Collaborate across CIB to deliver integrated solutions including Project Finance, ECA Origination, Debt Finance, Transactional Banking, Trade Finance, and FX Markets.

Transaction Structuring & Execution

• Structure and execute project finance, ECA-backed loans, and blended finance solutions.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and advisors for smooth execution.

Sector Expertise

• Provide African infrastructure sector insights to European clients in Water, Waste, Transport, and Energy sectors.

Strategic Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Strategy Development

• Lead development and implementation of sector strategy, aligning with trends, demand, and regulations.
• Identify growth opportunities and define strategic priorities.

Mandate & Scale Framework Implementation

• Design and implement frameworks to enhance governance and portfolio management.
• Ensure alignment between risk profiles and strategic appetite.

International ECA Capability Expansion

• Broaden ECA coverage by onboarding new ECAs and strengthening relationships.
• Leverage ECA programs for cross-border projects, especially in emerging markets.
