Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cost Manager to join our Leeds Real Estate team. You will guide our clients and their professional teams on various iconic projects across West Yorkshire.

You should have a genuine interest in understanding historical building construction and its implications for modern contractors. You will work daily with conservators, architects, and engineers to ensure optimal value for money, advising all parties on qualitative and commercial solutions.

Ideal candidates will have a good knowledge of construction from a Main Contracting or PQS background, with an outgoing and collaborative approach.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Managing commissions, including feasibility studies and procurement reports
• Estimating and cost planning, producing and presenting final cost plans
• Tendering and procurement, managing pre-qualification stages
• Handling post-contract cost variances and change control
• Conducting cost checks and valuations on projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Producing monthly post-contract cost reports for clients
• Contributing to value engineering
• Negotiating and finalizing accounts
• Interfacing with clients and consultants at all project stages
• Leading a cost management team when appropriate

Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience delivering high-quality cost management or quantity surveying services throughout project lifecycles.
Professional qualification (RICS or similar).
Degree or HNC level qualification.
Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
