Senior Cost Manager - Commercial Developer, London

Turner & Townsend is a leading management consultancy provider to the Commercial Developer sector.

We offer industry-leading services to clients across projects including Hotels, Residential schemes, and Commercial Offices. Our projects range from complex small developments to large new builds, each with unique challenges requiring sector expertise, providing opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with feasibility studies and procurement reports
  • Estimating and cost planning, including final cost plan presentation
  • Managing tendering and procurement processes
  • Handling post-contract cost variances and change control
  • Performing cost checks and valuations on projects
  • Producing and presenting monthly cost reports
  • Value engineering contributions
  • Negotiating final accounts
  • Interfacing with clients and consultants
  • Leading a cost management team when appropriate
Business Development:
  • Identifying new business opportunities with existing clients
  • Assisting in bid document preparation
Internal Management:
  • Knowledge management and database updates
  • Financial management using FMS
  • Process improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying
  • MRICS qualification
  • UK Cost Management experience in Real Estate/Property sector
  • Experience on projects over £10m or equivalent
  • Experience with new build and fit-out projects
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
