Job summary

Bimplus, a leading cost management specialist, is seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager to join the North East team and progress into a senior role on high-profile infrastructure projects across transportation, utilities and highways in our client base.

You will establish strong client relationships, administer contracts, provide accurate cost monitoring and forecasting, manage cash flow and variations, collaborate with client and contractor teams, drive value engineering, lead change

Qualifications

• Experience in contract management using NEC3 or similar
• Strong cost management and reporting capabilities
• Experience with change management and cost control
• Experience of valuations and procurement processes
• Track record in governance, commissioning and final accounts

Working on a range of industry leading infrastructure projects, we will support you in finding the right role within transportation, utilities and highways within our client base.

As a Senior Cost Manager within their business you will be working on some exciting projects as well as developing your skillset both operationally and technically. Job Objectives:

• Establishing friendly, professional and appropriate relationships with clients, colleagues and other parties involved in the projects and programmes we support.
• Administering a variety of contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies.
• Providing accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion in line with budget.
• Pro-actively monitoring and managing cost variance and contract cash flow, and ensuring that applications are made correctly and in a timely manner.
• Collaborating with client and contractor teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
• Managing contract change effectively, ensuring that projects remain within governance and adopt best practice.
• Driving improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budgets.
• Proactively providing sound commercial knowledge and support to all stakeholders.
• Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
• Leading people and commissions as needed.
