Apollo Personnel is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to progress to a senior position, working on infrastructure projects across transportation, utilities and highways. You will join our North East client team and develop your commercial and contractual skills.

Key duties include cost monitoring, forecasts, final accounts, change control, value engineering, and collaborating with client and contractor teams to deliver programme objectives. Excellent training and qualifications support is on offer.

Qualifications

  • Strong cost management, forecasting and reporting abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Establish professional relationships with clients and project teams.
  • Administer contracts in line with project objectives.
  • Provide accurate cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting.
  • Monitor cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring timely applications.
  • Collaborate with client and contractor teams on programme delivery and value engineering.
  • Lead contract change and ensure governance and best practices.
  • Drive forecast accuracy and budget improvements.
  • Provide commercial knowledge to stakeholders and negotiate final accounts.
  • Lead people and commissions as needed.

Job description

If you are looking to broaden your industry experience and progress your career within cost management, our clients North east team are seeking experienced Cost Managers looking to develop their career into a senior position. Working on a range of industry leading infrastructure projects, we will support you in finding the right role within transportation, utilities and highways within our client base.

As a Senior Cost Manager within their business you will be working on some exciting projects as well as developing your skillset both operationally and technically. We are keen to support those who are keen to progress their careers and can offer you excellent training and advancement in qualifications and diversifying your portfolio.

Job Objectives:
  • Establishing friendly, professional and appropriate relationships with clients, colleagues and other parties involved in the projects and programmes we support.
  • Administering a variety of contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies.
  • Providing accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion in line with budget.
  • Pro-actively monitoring and managing cost variance and contract cash flow, and ensuring that applications are made correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Collaborating with client and contractor teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
  • Managing contract change effectively, ensuring that projects remain within governance and adopt best practice.
  • Driving improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budgets.
  • Proactively providing sound commercial knowledge and support to all stakeholders.
  • Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
  • Leading people and commissions as needed.
