Mace is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Cost Manager to shape projects within its Cities & Places sector across London, Birmingham, Manchester or Winchester. You will lead cost planning, procurement, reporting and KPI delivery while promoting integrity and sustainability.
You will mentor multidisciplinary teams, drive continuous improvement, and support net zero carbon transition in complex client environments. Flexible, hybrid working options are available.
Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project and redefine the boundaries of ambition. Our values shape the way we consult and define the people we want to join us on our journey.
In our Cities & Places sector, we shape everything from homes and schools to major MoJ programmes, offices and retail‑led commercial developments. Working with government and private‑sector clients, we create spaces that genuinely improve how people live, work and connect - building stronger, healthier and more resilient communities. These ambitions don’t come without challenges: tight budgets, funding pressures, complex stakeholder needs, sustainability demands and the constant need to adapt at pace. At Mace, navigating these challenges is what we do best. We bring flexibility, adaptability and deep technical expertise to programme and project delivery - partnering closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver outcomes that matter. Through cutting‑edge technology, modern construction techniques, and a relentless focus on social value, we help deliver projects that meet today’s requirements while supporting long‑term goals. Projects that stand the test of time and create thriving, future‑proofed communities.
We champion a safe, diverse and inclusive working environment, understanding the importance of wellbeing in every team.
We own the quality of deliverables, strategic outcomes and build long term relationships with our clients.
We influence positive outcomes within our industry, while always aligning with our compliance obligations.
We champion a continuous improvement culture throughout all activities, inspiring our people and teams to develop.
Mace is an inclusive employer and welcomes interest from a diverse range of candidates. Even if you feel you do not fulfil all the criteria, please apply as you may still be the best candidate for this role or another role within our organisation.
We are also open to discussing part time, flexible, and hybrid working options if suitable with-in the role.
