Your impact

The Senior Cost Analyst will be responsible for providing detailed financial analysis and cost management support to our Transportation projects. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent financial acumen, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to drive cost efficiency and support strategic decision-making. You will play a key role in supporting the development of automated tools to provide an efficient method of reporting and inputting of cost information into the organization's systems.

As part of this role, you will undertake the following responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage Cost Control functions for major clients in the Transportation sector, delivering a range of multi-disciplinary projects.
2. Report the commercial status of projects in accordance with company methods.
3. Analyze cost variances and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
4. Utilize experience in analysis of financial data, contracts, forecasting, and reporting to support project delivery and Project Managers.
5. Contribute to the continuous development of Jacobs' cost control, forecasting tools & systems, and provide mentoring and training on Jacobs systems while promoting best practices.
6. Contribute to the development of data-driven solutions using agile methodology, data analytics, modern tools, and platforms with a practical, solution-oriented approach.
7. Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate cost allocation, forecasting, and budgeting.

• Experience in cost analysis, financial analysis, or a related role.
• Experience in project controls and commercial operations, emphasizing project controls and financial issues.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines, prioritize tasks, and approach problems analytically.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, active listening, relationship management, and strategic influencing.
• Curiosity and passion for innovation and delivery excellence, with a track record of implementing project delivery innovations.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience.
