A leading financial services organization in Greater Manchester seeks a Senior Cost Accountant - Project Lead for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The ideal candidate will lead key projects, oversee cost reporting, and manage stakeholder relationships, contributing to business efficiency and success. Sellick Partnership has been engaged on an exclusive basis to recruit a permanent highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Accountant - Project Lead, for a leading reputable, instantly recognisable, profitable and long-established financial services organisation based in Greater Manchester.

Reporting into the Senior Finance Manager you will be responsible for leading a transition project, ensuring accurate cost capture and collaboration with various teams and stakeholders.
General responsibilities:-
You will be provided with a supportive, collaborative, and open environment to think creatively. A key component of this role is building trusted and meaningful relationships with key stakeholders. You will provide credible insights and challenge, drawing on your business knowledge.
The ideal candidate for this position will have significant relevant industry experience (ideally financial services) with a demonstrable track record of undertaking similar roles. You will need strong experience in cost / business control and management accounting, project management and cost accounting.
You will be a proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. You will be comfortable delivering constructive challenge, oversight and advice to stakeholders at levels.
You need great influencing and presentation skills coupled with the ability to communicate confidently and effectively with all levels across the business.
You need to have strong commercial acumen and the ability to critically review work to identify potential issues, weaknesses, errors and omissions.
