Cost Accountant/Management Accountant

Paying 50k -55k

A fantastic opportunity has opened up for a Management Accountant/ Cost Accountant at our client site in Newcastle. A crucial role within the Finance team, you'll be the go-to person for preparing, developing, and applying financial analyses to support informed decisions across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Monthly Management Accounts:

- Site lead for submitting monthly management accounts to Europe & Corporate

- Support Controller with forecast/budget process 2 sites.

- Finance Business Partnering to provide insights that drive better business decisions

Operational Support:

- Weekly/monthly management information on operations performance

- Stock reporting, reconciliation, and control

- Main contact for standard costing information and annual updates

- CAPEX proposal assistance and product costing analysis

- Completion of Balance Sheet Reconciliations

- Identifying financial control issues and documenting new processes

- Maintaining compliance with Sarbanes Oxley risk control matrices

- Engaging in opportunities to improve finance and business processes

- Supporting ad hoc projects within Senior Finance Team

Skills Required:

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Advanced Excel skills and strong ERP/Manufacturing systems knowledge

- Strong inter-personal skills for cross-functional interaction

- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

- Manufacturing experience; HFM and SAP experience desirable

- Fully qualified CIMA/ACCA

- Minimum 5 years manufacturing experience
