Vincere is seeking a Senior Corporate M&A Lawyer near York, operating in a hybrid model. The role focuses on leading complex transactions, advising founders and high-growth businesses, and expanding the corporate practice with leadership involvement in BD and market profile.

Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years' PQE in corporate M&A is required. The firm offers substantial flexibility, pension and health benefits, and a path to shape the firm’s corporate capabilities as it scales.

• Build and lead the corporate team as the practice grows.
• Develop key client and intermediary relationships.
• Collaborate with colleagues across commercial, IP, data protection, employment and property.

Senior Corporate M&A Lawyer

Location: Near York (hybrid)

Salary: £80,000 to £110,000 (depending on experience)

Experience: 5+ years' PQE

Our client is building something a bit different, delivering big-firm expertise with a boutique, human approach. They work with ambitious founders, SMEs and high-growth businesses, providing pragmatic legal support through fixed price projects and monthly subscriptions.

This is a lead role for a senior Corporate M&A lawyer who wants to shape and grow a corporate offering, work closely with leadership on strategy, and build long-term client relationships. If you enjoy being hands-on, commercially minded, and you like the idea of doing high-quality work without the usual baggage, this is worth a conversation.

You will lead a variety of corporate transactions and help build and develop the corporate team as the firm scales. You will also play a key role in business development and in raising the firm’s profile in the market.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading corporate transactions including acquisitions, disposals, MBOs, angel and private equity investments, and restructures

• Handling general corporate advisory work including shareholder agreements, corporate structures and corporate governance

• Advising on EMI schemes and other share incentives

• Building and leading the corporate team as the practice grows

• Managing and developing key client and intermediary relationships

• Working closely with colleagues across commercial, IP, data protection, employment and commercial property

• Contributing to business development and profile raising activity

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years' PQE and strong Corporate M&A experience

• Comfortable leading matters end-to-end and advising founders and senior stakeholders

• Strong commercial judgement and a pragmatic, solutions-led approach

• Confident relationship builder, able to win work and grow a client base

• Collaborative leadership style, with interest in mentoring and building a team
