An established industry player is seeking an experienced corporate lawyer to join their Guernsey office. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile transactions in a less rigid environment, ideal for those looking to advance their careers while enjoying the benefits of a low-tax island lifestyle. You will collaborate with respected experts and take on significant responsibilities, including client management and business development. The Channel Islands provide a unique blend of challenging work and a desirable coastal lifestyle, with London just an hour away for those occasional city needs. If you are ready to push your career forward in a supportive and meritocratic setting, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
An opening exists for an experienced UK/Commonwealth qualified corporate lawyer to join the Guernsey office of this major offshore law firm. Focusing on a range of transactions under Guernsey law, you will be working closely with highly respected experts in the field, on a broad practice that is likely to focus on corporate but may also include some corporate finance and funds work.
It will be ideal for someone who is looking to do top-tier international work but who craves a less rigid environment than that which can be found in some large onshore firms, and who is attracted by the significant advantages of low-tax island life. You will have lots of variety, lots of responsibility and you will be heavily involved in the client management and business development efforts of the team. This is a meritocratic environment in which lawyers are supported in developing their careers, so it will suit someone who wants to really push on with their career development.
The Channel Islands offer a city-based lawyer who thrives on big ticket work but craves an escape from the rat race, few places compete with the Channel Islands, home to two of the world’s premier offshore financial centres. Jersey and Guernsey have strong and highly competitive legal sectors, housing teams that number many alumni of the leading London or international outfits amongst their ranks. They do complex blue-chip work, in a nice environment without the trappings of a big law firm culture. Work-life balance tends to be good, leaving plenty of time to enjoy what is an enviable coastal lifestyle and London is only an hour away making it easy to get that city fix when (or if) you need it.
