Type: Temporary
Pay: £33.78 per hour (PAYE) / £44.99 per hour (Umbrella)
Location: Perceval House, Ealing (Hybrid - 2 days per week from home)
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Provide a competent, pragmatic, and professional health and safety advisory and support service to Council services, monitoring compliance through audits and inspections.
Lead the development, implementation, promotion, review, and monitoring of the Council's Health and Safety Management System, associated policies, and procedures.
Evaluate and update the safety management system to meet organisational needs and changing regulations.
Drive a positive health, safety, and wellbeing culture across the organisation through innovative initiatives and timely engagement with business managers.
Essential: Degree level / NVQ Level 6 diploma in health and safety or similar; IOSH membership (Cert IOSH or above) with evidence of continuous professional development; NEBOSH Construction Certificate or demonstrable CDM knowledge/experience; qualification or demonstrable competency in health and wellbeing (including stress, health initiatives, partnership working).
Desirable: NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate or equivalent; auditing qualification; IT qualification or demonstrable competency in data management and analysis (e.g., Power BI, Macros, compliance databases).
