JOB MISSION:

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Senior Corporate Accountant will support the Corporate accounting team with the monthly financial close, preparing and reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, and preparing monthly consolidated financial statements. This position will work cross functionally with FP&A team, Treasury team, EPM team and International financial personnel as necessary to assist with close and audit requirements, and global accounting and new system initiatives.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Assist with financial close and reporting process, including:

  • preparation of journal entries and reconciliations for assigned GL accounts /areas.
  • perform account reconciliation reviews, ensuring Company accounting processes are accurate and in accordance with US-GAAP.
  • monitor the status of key close deadlines and providing updates to Finance management of any issues, delays.
  • manage Intercompany accounting process liaising with subsidiaries as key point of contact
  • prepare monthly US-GAAP financial statements packages, including KPI metrics and trend analysis
  • prepare quarterly Bank Covenants and supporting schedules for Treasury team.

Assist with providing US-GAAP technical guidance including:

  • application of existing US-GAAP guidance as may pertain to new developments or events impacting the Company

Assist with Company’s global lease administration system as pertains to US-GAAP Lease accounting requirements (ASC 842 - Leases).

Assist the Assistant Controller, with year-end audit with respect to:

  • Planning and scheduling of year-end and interim fieldwork.
  • PBC (“prepared by client”) list preparation and oversight
  • Preparation of audited financial statements and footnotes

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting & CPA required
  • 3+ years experience, with audit experience with Public Accounting Firm
  • Highly organized and structured- able to prioritize and manage tight deadlines
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, with an ability to conceptualize “the big picture”.
  • Proficiency with US-GAAP accounting codification research tools required
  • Experience with or exposure to EPM reporting and consolidations applications preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills plus a willingness to work in a team environment required
