University of Liverpool in Liverpool is seeking a Grade 6 Senior Core Technician to support oversight and maintenance of CL2 Laboratories at Leahurst Campus. The role sits within the IVES Professional Service team and requires a flexible attitude to meet Institute needs.

You will provide an effective technical service to support research and teaching, with knowledge of biological disciplines and practical lab experience. The position is full-time, 35 hours per week.

Formación

• Knowledge of one or more biological subject areas (Biological sciences, Microbiology, Virology, Parasitology or Molecular Biology).
• Practical laboratory experience and safe handling of biological materials.
• Ability to support research and teaching across the institute.

Responsabilidades

• Provide effective and efficient technical service to support the research and teaching conducted by the department and across the institute.
• Support oversight and maintenance of the CL2 laboratories at Leahurst Campus.
• Maintain flexibility to meet Institute needs and assist other departments as required.

Hours of work: Full-time - 35 hours per week

We are recruiting a Grade 6 Senior Core Technician who will support oversight and maintenance of the CL2 Laboratories based at the research laboratories, Leahurst Campus. The facilities sit within Institute of Infection, Veterinary & Ecological Sciences (IVES) Professional Service team.

You will be responsible for the provision of an effective and efficient technical service to support the research and teaching that is conducted by the department and across the institute. It is important that you must have a flexible attitude to work to meet with the changes within the Institute. Occasionally, you will be asked to support other departments and buildings within the institute, as required.

You must have the knowledge and practical experience in one or more of the biological subject areas (i.e. Biological sciences, Microbiology, Virology, Parasitology or Molecular Biology).
