ITG is hiring for a maternity cover copy role on the Matalan account. You will craft on-brand copy across product, CRM, advertising, social, and in-store materials while shaping the brand voice and tone.
You’ll own and evolve the TOV with the client, ensuring consistency and high quality across briefs. You’ll edit your own and others’ copy with meticulous attention to detail, and you’ll develop tools and training for writers and client teams.
This is a genuinely exciting time to join the Matalan account at ITG on an initial 12 month fixed term contract covering a period of maternity leave. At its heart, this is a hands‑on writing role. You'll be answering briefs and producing copy across a wide range of channels.
What makes this role particularly interesting is that the brand is undergoing a significant reposition, moving toward a style‑led fashion and lifestyle editorial direction, and the tone of voice is being actively developed to reflect that shift. You’ll be coming in at an early stage of that journey, which means real creative ownership. You’ll take emerging TOV principles and run with them, apply them to new briefs, and help shape what the brand sounds like as you go.
You’ll be the day‑to‑day custodian of the Matalan brand voice at ITG, working across a broad range of channels and touchpoints with other writers, designers, art directors, client services, clients and external creative agencies.
— alongside a competitive salary, here's what you can look forward to:
