Job description

Southfields Care Home, rated GOOD by CQC, provides exceptional support to older persons living with dementia, physical disabilities, or sensory impairments.

Located in a residential suburb in Northampton, it offers a welcoming environment where residents can enjoy an enhanced quality of life.

Our teams of friendly and dedicated staff deliver high-quality dementia and residential care.

With excellent accommodation, facilities, and a program of activities, our care home creates a home-like atmosphere where residents feel comfortable, content, and well cared for.

What will you be doing?

• Preparing and cooking meals for elderly residents, including modified textured diets.
• Supervising and supporting other kitchen staff.
• Managing the annual budget.
• Ordering and receiving supplies from vendors.
• Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained.

Working 37 hours per week, including alternate weekends, between 8 am and 6 pm.

About you

• Experience in a kitchen or catering environment, preferably in a senior or leadership role.
• Relevant Food Hygiene qualifications.
• Ability to manage budgets effectively.
• Understanding of the importance of prioritizing residents' requests.

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check, as it is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. West Northamptonshire Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
