Title – Senior Conveyor Design Engineer

Alexander James Recruiting are currently working with a leading manufacturer and integrator of Warehouse Automation products looking to bring on a Senior Conveyor Design Engineer to work on projects for clients across the UK. With a competitive base salary and overall package, this is a great opportunity for a qualified mechanical engineer with experience of designing conveyor layouts.

Responsibilities

  • Creating detailed designs to meet customer specifications for conveyor layouts, ready for translation into engineering solutions using autoCAD software
  • Carrying out all related calculations and risk assessments to ensure that all designs align with technical and safety requirement standards
  • Conducting thorough analysis in order to validate all designs
  • Working closely with the sales, projects and technical teams throughout each stage of the project, producing all relevant documentation when required
  • Attending sites nationally as and when required

Requirements

Our client is ideally looking for an individual with a strong design background working within Conveyors. It is vital for the role that you hold a Mechanical Engineering qualification. It is essential that you are able to demonstrate previous success within a similar role whilst working remotely. In terms of location, you can be based anywhere in the UK but there will be occasional requirements to travel to the company’s office in the East Midlands. You must hold a full UK driver’s license as there will be an expectation to travel to customer sites around the country.

  • Competitive base salary (up to £75k depending on experience)
  • 25 days holiday
