Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer based near the Lancashire/Cumbria border to lead the integration of control technology for modern energy systems. The role spans electrical, controls and software, with applications in battery energy storage, renewables, microgrids and hybrid power systems.

The ideal candidate will combine experience across PLCs, SCADA, energy management and control-system architecture to deliver robust, scalable solutions for complex power networks.

Qualifications

Experience with PLC & industrial control systems.
SCADA experience with industrial environments.
Knowledge of energy management systems is a plus.
Understanding of control system architecture and interfaces.
Experience with Modbus, CAN or OPC communication protocols.
Experience with inverters and power conversion.
Exposure to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
Experience with generator and renewable integration.
Knowledge of microgrid control concepts.
Experience in commissioning and fault finding across complex systems.
