POSITION SCOPE

The successful candidate will be responsible for replacing, upgrading, and maintaining the company’s control systems, as well as designing and implementing control systems for new capital projects.

Shift: Mon-Fri Days

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Replace, upgrade, and maintain control and instrumentation hardware and software, ensuring refinery operations perform as required.
• Communicate with all levels of refinery personnel to ensure understanding of changes to legacy control systems.
• Provide specialist instrumentation knowledge for new capital projects.
• Ensure compliance with European machine safety standards and hazardous area installations.
• Supervise contractors and project engineering resources during installation and commissioning.
• Support existing control systems to minimize production downtime.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to process control systems.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance standards for process control systems.
• Focus on continuous and quality improvement.
• Mentor team members.

ESSENTIAL WORK EXPERIENCES

• Strong understanding of control system and networking hardware, especially Allen Bradley, Siemens, Wonderware ArchestrA, and process control tools.
• Experience working within processing operations.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum HNC, Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PPT, Excel, Word).
• Professional communication skills at all organizational levels.
• Ability to anticipate and mitigate problems proactively.
• Good documentation skills.
