Job summary

Colten Care is seeking a Senior Control Systems IT Security Consultant to join CGI’s Aberdeen-based team, focusing on IT security for industrial control systems.

You will monitor SIEM alerts, investigate incidents, and ensure secure management of process control IT systems while collaborating with global support teams. A strong security background and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Network (CCNA or equivalent) and Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) certification required
• Windows Desktop & Server (Active Directory) experience
• Experience with OS Patching and the following technologies/platforms: UNIX, NT, and LAN/WAN and system management tools
• Experience with the following Backup and Recovery Technologies: Acronis B&R,Symantec B&R
• In-depth understanding of network security, Firewall configuration, and Cisco systems
• Knowledge of VMware/Citrix and TCP/IP, including packet-level analysis
• Leadership experience with a hands on approach

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts from the SIEM and investigate suspected incidents to inform containment and eradication
• As part of the SOC team, monitor alerts, assess severity and impact, and participate in investigations
• Ensure IT systems, applications, and communication equipment within the process control environment are managed and maintained
• Provide technical support in a Control Systems environment
• Ensure run & maintain support issues are dealt with effectively
• Produce and maintain key documentation
• Collaborate with wider global support team

You’ll join a collaborative team working in an Industrial Automated Control Systems (IACS) IT Security environment in Aberdeen, UK that has the daily operational responsibility for ensuring appropriate and secure management and use of the IT systems and applications in a process control environment. Operations shall be performed in compliance with the IT Security standards and applicable legislation. Your future duties and responsibilities

You will monitor security alerts from the SIEM (Security Incident and Event Management) and investigate suspected security incidents in order to make recommendations for containment and eradication. As part of the SOC team, you will monitor security alerts, determine severity, and impacts as well as participate in security incident investigations and recommendations. Ensuring that IT systems, applications, and communication equipment within the process control environment are managed and maintained.

• Produce and maintain key documentation
