Job summary

Pearl Control Systems Limited in the UK is seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to design, program and maintain advanced control systems for production facilities. You will help automate processes, troubleshoot issues and enhance operational performance across sites.

Day-to-day tasks include designing PLC-controlled automation, integrating SCADA/HMI, applying PID tuning, and ensuring compliance with HACCP and GMP.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in control systems engineering.
• Experience with PLC programming, SCADA and HMI systems.
• Knowledge of PID tuning for production lines.
• Familiarity with HACCP, GMP and food safety standards.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and process equipment.
• UK sites commissioning with travel.

Responsibilities

• Design, program and optimise control systems to automate production lines (PLCs, SCADA, HMIs).
• Implement process automation solutions to boost productivity and reduce downtime.
• Integrate control systems with other applications for data exchange.
• Diagnose and resolve control system issues to ensure smooth operations.
• Collaborate with engineering, production and maintenance teams for improvements.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Maintain detailed documentation of software changes and deployments.
