Job summary
Safran Electrical & Power in Pitstone, UK, seeks a Systems Engineer to define, design and develop Control Systems Architecture for high speed rotating electrical machines. You will work in a flexible engineering environment as part of a skilled team delivering electrical power generation and distribution solutions for aerospace propulsion.
The role requires MBSE experience and MATLAB/Simulink skills, with responsibilities spanning requirements, architectures, testing and documentation to support
Qualifications
- Experience in Control Systems Architecture, ideally in aerospace or safety‑critical industries.
- Experience with DOORs requirements capture software and Windchill for PLM.
- Proficient in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and system-level modelling with Matlab/Simulink/Speedgoat.
Responsibilities
- Define control system requirements and architectures and liaise with customers.
- Perform control system design including architectures, performance analyses and integration aspects.
- Manage system requirements and compliance analysis for qualification.
- Support system test rig design and system testing activities.
- Prepare documentation to support system qualification and aircraft certification.
- Create project plans and monthly execution plans to meet programme budget.
