Red Bull Advanced Technologies are looking for a Senior Control Systems Engineer to develop control systems and software for RBAT projects.

Responsibilities
  • To take direction from the Head of Software and Control Systems and develop control systems that meet project requirements.
  • To lead system development from initial specifications and requirements documents through to physical testing and prove-out for production applications.
  • To manage, review, and mentor the technical activities of more junior engineers with the department.
  • To lead the prototyping of control systems hardware and software using a range of tools including MATLAB / Simulink and dSpace Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) rigs.
  • To lead other software development activities as required.
Key Competencies / Qualifications
  • An engineering degree or equivalent, preferably in Control, Software or Electronic engineering.
  • A strong understanding of modern control system approaches.
  • A strong understanding of modern software development practices.
  • A strong understanding of MATLAB / Simulink for control systems software development and of other software development tools (C#, Python, Java or similar).
  • A strong understanding of version control, issues tracking and software build systems.
  • A strong understanding of software development process and the implications of functional safety on that process.
