Job Description

We are looking to recruit a Lead Control Systems Engineer for a 10-month contract, based in Leatherhead, Surrey.

Purpose of the Role

To assist in the designing process control systems based on DCS, ESD & FGS systems.

Skills / Experience

  • Experience in the detailed engineering phase of projects, particularly in handling packages.
  • Contribute to the development of I&C design deliverables, including P&IDs, Instrument List, Instrument Specifications, and Instrument Data Sheets.
  • Assist in the design of process control systems based on DCS, PLC, and SCADA.
  • Collaborate with client counterparts and vendors to interface control systems and new packages.
  • Support risk assessments such as Safety Integrity Level (SIL), Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), and Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP).
  • Prepare technical requisitions and conduct bid evaluations.
  • Assist in the development of Safety Requirement Specifications (SRS) and demonstrate working knowledge of IEC 61508 & IEC 61511.
  • Perform assigned automation-related job functions, including the creation of I/O lists, Instrumentation lists, and the specification of instrumentation and control elements.
  • Interface with Electrical systems and MCC.
  • Experience in Brownfield onshore projects.
  • Experience working with multiple centers.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Middle Eastern projects and familiarity with related work processes.
