Overview

We are looking for a Senior Control & Instrumentation Engineer to join PM Group working for us on a hybrid working arrangement based out of our Manchester office.

Job Title: Senior Control & Instrumentation Engineer

Location: Manchester

Contract: Full Time - Permanent

Responsibilities

As a Senior Control & Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of our Instrumentation engineering services and solutions with customers, across conceptual, basic and detailed design engineering phases; and into construction and CQV phases within a genuine multi-disciplinary delivery team.

You'll also assist with bids and tenders as well as providing coaching and mentoring to early careers engineering professionals.

Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a related Engineering field.
  • Preferably a Chartered Engineer with IET, or working towards.
  • Possess a thorough level of experience in control and instrumentation specification & design engineering work.
  • Fieldbus technology (Profibus DP and Modbus RTU) design knowledge.
  • Some experience of programming/configuration of PLC/DCS systems would be advantageous.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to adapt, multi-task and prioritise when necessary.
  • Display a positive outlook and approachable manner.
