Job summary

EDF Energy at Hinkley Point C is seeking a Senior I&C Engineer to lead on-site modifications and configuration control for the Siemens SPPA-T2000 platform, guiding commissioning activities and ensuring readiness of critical plant systems.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with EDF and Siemens specialists, and contribute to design changes, testing, and documentation as the project moves toward operation.

• Supporting the updates to engineering records, diagrams and technical documentation.
• Working closely with commissioning, electrical and system engineering teams.
• Supporting Siemens specialists during detailed design activities.
• Highlighting risks, opportunities and delivery challenges to support project success.

The Opportunity

As a Senior I&C Engineer, you'll play an important role in our Joint Design Office Instrumentation and Control team. You'll lead modifications across the Siemens SPPA-T2000 platform, helping to support commissioning activities and making sure critical plant systems are ready for operation. You'll also help develop engineers within the team, sharing your knowledge and experience.

Alongside a competitive salary and potential for an annual bonus, you'll be based full-time on-site at #HPC. You'll work alongside EDF and Siemens specialists on one of the world's largest engineering projects, helping support key commissioning milestones and technical changes as the station moves closer to operation.

This is a chance to work on technology that's new to the UK while helping drive the transition towards An Electric Britain. From design changes and system testing to configuration management and technical leadership, you'll have a direct impact on the success of Hinkley Point C and the future of nuclear generation.

Who You Are

• Working with complex Instrumentation and Control systems in industrial environments
• Using Siemens SPPA-T2000 technology in an engineering environment
• Assessing the impact of hardware and software modifications to control systems
• Applying a detailed understanding of process signals, logic processing and alarm management
• Working within structured engineering, quality and configuration management processes
• Holding a degree in a relevant engineering discipline or offering equivalent industry experience
